sounds good to me with the following exception. I would not want to remove archive logs until I was double sure I had them on tape. so I'd delete everything 3 days old or more.

You should also consider an export for logical recovery. I can see absolutely no reason with 2gig of data why an incremental export would do anything other than confuse people.
