Invalid page fault with TKPROF73

I am consistently receiving an invalid page fault when trying to run TKPROF73. The error message is:

TKPROF73 caused an invalid page fault in module MSVCRT40.DLL at 0177:102370fe.

I had two versions of MSVCRT40.DLL on my computer:

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\MSVCRT40.DLL, dated 01/28/99, version 4.22.0000 C:\IOMEGA\TOOLS\MSVCRT40.DLL, dated 4/11/97, version 4.10.6038

Thinking that the older version might be causing the problem, I renamed it, re-booted the computer, and tried to run TKPROF73 again. I received the same error message.

The operating system is Windows 98. The database version is Oracle 7.3.2.2.1, although I receive the error even when I omit the EXPLAIN parameter. When running at the command prompt, it says the version of TKPROF73 is 7.3.2.3.1. However, when I right-click on TKPROF73.EXE in Explorer, select Properties, then select the Version tab, it says version = 7.3.2.2.0. The file date is 6/27/96.

Has anyone else experienced this problem? Any solutions?

Thank you in advance for your help in resolving this problem.
