How to manyally archive the redo log files?

Hi, I'm quite a newbie with oracle and as I'm learning I forgot to turn
on the ARCH


process. Now my darn database is hung until I archive them manually. The
problem is... my Oracle book talk about this but it doesn't tell you how
to do it?!


Anyone knows the answer (I bet...)?
