I would echo basically the same thing - I have many 8.03 Oracle NT machines, none with any of the problems you mention, or, for that matter, any problems at all. The only *very* minor big I have seen is that when adding a SID with the Net8 wizard, the wizard hangs if you do a create and test all in one. No big deal.

When installing Oracle on NT I always demand a fresh re-install of the operating system (even if it came preloaded by a vendor; you don't know what mistakes they made). I know this sounds draconian, but NT is not UNIX or VMS. By the way I do use SP4 and SP3, haven't seen any differences or new problems yet.
