Hi,

I don't think the number of extents an index or table CAN have, has an influence on your performance.
It's the number of extents that the index or table REALLY HAS that influences the performance :
the more extents you have, the more the performance will decrease. I don't care about a few extents, but a table or index with 100 extents doesn't sound like an optimized database ;-)
