This is a Microsoft issue.
NT with SP3 ... symptoms 90%+ CPU, but no Java screen. Set you monitor to less than True Color and at least 256 or greater.

This holds for ALL JVMs on NT with SP3. It affects the JVM in Netscape, IE, etc ....

There is a patch to this on the Microsoft website under the security announcements ... no explanation as to why it's there. It's hidden pretty nicely.

GOOD to know NT is such a nicely layered system that a screen driver can affect the whole machine that way *GRIN*!!!
