As K Poone said, you can specify the service when you start the sqlplus. You
can also specify it after SQLPlus is up, with the command 'connect
my_userid/my_pswd_at_my_db' If you don't want to expose the password, use
'connect my_userid_at_my_db' and you will be prompted for the password.
