Hi,
I have Oracle 7.3.2.2.0 for SCO (licensed) and I am trying to install it on Linux 2.0.34 - I am following the installation instructions in the ORACLE-HOWTO. This is available at:
http://www.ssc.com/linews/LDP/HOWTO/Oracle-HOWTO.html
I get to step 3.3 where you run "svrmgrl" and execute the script you just created and it prompts me for a password:
> oraclesvr:~/7.3.2.2.0/dbs$ svrmgrl
>

I don't know what password it wants and it doesn't say in the HOWTO. I've tried some of the default passwords, CHANGE_ON_INSTALL, tiger, manager.
No matter what I try it always returns:
> ORA-09917: DBA group does not exist in system groups file.
> SVRMGR>
I would appreciate ANY help ANYONE can provide.
Please email me directly. NO SPAM!
Thanks,
