Hi all

Version : 7.3.x
Hardware: HP9000 - K class
O.S. : 10.20

We are planning on installing MirrorDisk/UX on our server. I have some questions and I appreciate your comments.

  1. Is it a good idea to use Mirroring software in an Oracle environment?
  2. How is mirroring software different than a RAID? (pros and cons)

Also when using Mirroring software are there any issues with Redo logs? (Because it is already mirrored within Oracle)

Thanx in advance for ur help.

Rao
