HELP: can't restore/recover

i ran "shutdown immediate", then copied all files to another area. then i simply copied them back in. upon startup i got a message saying media recovery was required on system.dbf. I ran "recover datafile system.dbf". Then startup told me that another datafile needed recovery. SO i ran recover database, and it ran okay. then startup told me ORA-00322, log name of thread num is not current copy .

can anyone help???
