glogin.sql is the same on all machines, as is sqlnet.ora. (we use a name server, so there is no tnsnames.ora)

I did try the /nolog option and it didn't crash. I tried CONNECT and after entering credentials I got "ORA-12560: TNS: protocol adapter error". As it turns out, there was a similar entry in sqlnet.log, as well.

What next? (Much appreciated)
