That which defines 'rude' depends on socially accepted behaviour. The definition varies by community.

In newsgroups, common *local* or *geographic* social norms can not be assumed as being universal. Which implies that expectations of interaction or behaviour must be defined by each person and/or tolerance is required.

I do not recall you have ever published how you wish to be addressed. Thus I do not understand how you can deem the other's interaction as being rude.
