Oracle Apps Book Suggestions

Hi folks,

I am starting up with Oracle applications , could any one please suggest a good book to start with.

I am looking at something that explains the motivation for the design of Oracle apps architecture the way it is..... concepts like responsibilities in AOL .....things like that.....

I dont want to learn something without the underlying principles.....

I am a java developer with a fairish knowledge of Db concepts and am comfortable with sql/plsql
