Hello,

I have a 10g Oracle Server in a win2003 box, and on a client machine, I have Oracle 9.01 installed (os is WinXP).

When I try to connect to the 10g Server with the Enterprise Manager 9 and a userid / password I have just created, I get this error on the client:
this application requires that you have been granted the SELECT ANY DICTIONARY privilege

I have granted this privilege to the userid I'm trying to connect with, but I still get the same error.

I have also found some article saying that the user should have other privileges:
MGMT_USER
SELECT_CATALOG_ROLE
so I granted those privilege to the user, but still the same error...

Is there anything I'm missing ?
Thanks in advance for any information,

Olivier. Received on Thu Feb 16 2006 - 03:18:07 CST
