It may insult _OUR_ head of IT, but it would be in character for him or one of his minions to allow exactly that. We already have a record of things such as this.

So far, he's managed to talk his way out of a few corners. Another one or two of these MICROS~1-provided features (maybe even this one) and he may find he's in the corner of a balcony overlooking 30 or so stories of building with nobody wanting to hear his latest tales.
