Telling the head of IT "thank god we don't run SQL Server, or else we
would have been hit by that worm" directly implies that the head of IT
is enough of a lunkhead to not only fail to apply security patches,
but to leave ports 1433 and 1434 OPEN TO THE INTERNET. In essence,
it's a direct insult to the recipient of the email.
Quite a career move, but I get the impression it won't be considered out of character for you.
