The difference is that Personal Oracle 8i isn't tested on XP, as XP
was released after Personal Oracle 8i. Hence it is uncertified and you
can expect anything.
Why do people even want to install 8 on XP. Microsoft has sufficiently
shown it is uncapable of producing 100 percent downwards compatible
sw.
