Hi,
did you check the alert file (sidalrt.log, e.g. orclalrt.log)?

Hi,
we are using Oracle 8.0.5.1 under Linux that runs two instances. One instance is permanently used by WebObjects (Apple, under Solaris 7). The other database is used by a crs (customer relationship). The database which feeds the WebObjects is up 24/7. Now we have the problem that every one or two weeks oracle and webobjects loose connection. The logfile of webobject reports: GeneraAdaptorException: ORA-00911: invalid character
The Linux system seems to be very stable all the time and doesn't report anything important in its logs.
What I want to know is: is there a possibility to verify ORA-00911 on the oracle side? I can't see that oracle creates any log files. Is there a posibility to monitor the oracle database 24/7 so I can see if oracle recognizes that something is going wrong?
