Again to the original poster: You can't do a
#> xhost + <something>
when you are not allowed to connect to the
X-server. Execute the "xhost +" command in a shell
on your workstation, not the remote server. Even
if you work on the same computer, the user who
owns the X-server running has to execute "xhost +"
or better "xhost + [IP | computer name]".
