What do I do with my patch?

I am installing ane Oracle installation. I called to get e new set of
media shiped, and the rep told me he would ship 7.3.4.0, and that I
should grab the patch from an ftp site.

Well I have both in hand now, but there is no README with the patch
(which is a largish tarball) telling me what to do with it.

So can some kind soul give me a pointer on this? I'ts been years since
I needed to do a new install, and this is all new to me.

	Thanks.

Windows 98: n.
useless extension to a minor patch release for 32-bit extensions and
a graphical shell for a 16-bit patch to an 8-bit operating system
originally coded for a 4-bit microprocessor, written by a 2-bit
company that can't stand for 1 bit of competition.
