De-Supporting 8.0.5?

Hey -

I have heard several conflicting statements over the past couple of weeks - a JDE consultant said that Oracle was no longer supporting 8.0.5. The next time I called support, I asked the girl I was talking to and she said that this was true - effective in June 2000. The oracle DBA for our sister company said he hadn't seen any releases or bulletins, and the sales guy _he_ called said that as far as HE knows, Oracle is still going to support 8.0.5 for at least a couple of years yet. Anybody have the TRUE scoop? It will make a big difference in the equipment purchases, etc that we have to make over the next couple of months... Thanks!
