I thought that Oracle requires a Dynamic IP port allocation, which you will not be able to configure via a Generic proxy on Firewall 97

However, Firewall 98 does support SQL proxies.. If you are on Compaq's Packaged services , you are entitled to the new release. If not Compaq offers an upgrade to new version at 35% of list.
