Look for a file named TNSNAMES.ORA in your ORACLE_HOME\NETWORK\ADMIN
directory (in a MS-Windows environment). Open the file with a text-editor.
All character-strings before '.world' can be valid connect strings for
SQL-Net ('database' -option in your login-window).
You could also try a blank SQL-Net connect string (so don't type anything
in the database-option), in case you try to connect to a local instance.
