You need to have oracle transparent gateway installed on the mainframe to access datacom .
which gives a look and feel of oracle database. This product gives you read only
access. To have write capability you need to install the procedural gateway.
Once you have installed the gateway. You can create database link to the datacom through the oracle
transparent gateway and access the data.
