Re: The Data Administration Newsletter (TDAN)

Dear Collegues,

The fifth issue of TDAN (5.0 - announced 6/1) has been very well received. TDAN 5.0 was visited over 12,000 times in the month of June. I greatly appreciate your continued support of the newsletter.

There are several reasons for this announcement:

Papers and articles are being accepted for TDAN 6.0 (to be published 9/1/98; submission deadline 8/1/98) and TDAN 7.0 (published 12/1/98; deadline 11/1/98). For guidelines and information about how to submit an article to the newsletter, please visit http://www.tdan.com/submit.htm.

I would like to bring to your attention changes that have been made to the TDAN Reader's Corner. Effective immediately, Davida Berger (NJ DAMA) will coordinate the questions and answers that are being submitted and published to the newsletter. New instructions for submitting questions and answers are listed on the Reader's Corner page located at http://www.tdan.com/readers.htm. THIS SECTION WILL BE UPDATED REGULARLY. I feel strongly that, with Davida's guidance, The Reader's Corner has the potential to become a viable forum for interactive information transfer between individuals in the information resource management field.

I strongly encourage and welcome your participation in The Reader's Corner. If you have new questions and/or answers to existing questions, please forward them to Davida Berger at davidab_at_compuserve.com. Also, If you have an interest in participating on the Answer Team (individuals that volunteer to respond to new questions) please forward that information to Davida as well.

Please also visit the Job Classified section of the newsletter located at http://www.tdan.com/jobclass.htm. New positions have been posted for this issue and several more will be posted in the coming days and weeks. This section will be updated on an on-going basis. If you are interested in any of the positions, please make the individuals that you contact aware that you found the classified in TDAN. If you are interested in posting new positions, please contact me at the email address listed below.

FYI, The Job Classified section is not the only section of the newsletter that is UPDATED REGULARLY. In addition, the Links and More section, the Book Reviews section, the Vendors List, and the Reader's Corner are updated regularly; often with information submitted by TDAN readers. Keep the ideas coming!
