Oracle corporation and DIGITAL have recently announced that Oracle will discontinue support for the Oracle7 package on OpenVMS VAX.
Various migrations for current Oracle7 customers on OpenVMS VAX are available, including migrations to OpenVMS Alpha. (And Oracle and DIGITAL are offering incentives to help folks migrate to OpenVMS Alpha.)

Per my most recent conversation with the Oracle folks, Oracle Rdb will not be affected by the Oracle7 announcement, and support for Oracle Rdb on OpenVMS VAX (and OpenVMS Alpha) will continue.
