Does anyone know if it is possible to have 16 and 32 bit Oracle stuff (SQL*Net etc.) on the same PC ? The reason for this is that we have developed some 32 bit apps but are also purchasing a large system which is still 16 bits and will probably be for the next 12-18 months. We want our users to be able to have both of these on their PCs but it seems we are running into problems with paths, Oracle homes and lots of other things.
I have been getting conflicting information on whether this is possible (at least without a big mess everytime a user wants to switch between running a 16 and 32 bit app) or not. Also I have heard this may be impossible under Windows 95 but possible on NT since there the 16 bit stuff is completely separate from the 32 bit stuff.
Apart from replying to the group please reply by email; I've been having some problems with my newsserver recently.
