oracle hangs in win95

Hi!
We are accessing Oracle Developer/2000 Rel 1 off the server. One of the pentiums (dell optiplex) with 32 Mb of RAM and win95b experiences frequent freezes while accessing database in oracle. Closing the application with ctrl-alt del not always helps, most often it is complete re-start of the machine. On some PCs with win95 when we had trouble connecting them to oracle changing 'Memory Init Environment' from 'auto' to 1024 (in MSDOS Prompt properties) helped. Is there something like that (in autoexec, config, win.ini ..) to tune oracle and prevent machine lockups ? Anybody had similar experience with off-the server oracle in win95 ? Irena.
