Greetings all,



Can anyone offer advice or comment on the reasons for abnormally slow
logons to Oracle 7?



The machine we're running is an IBM/J30 Quad Processor/256Mb RAM, so
it's unlikely that this is causing the speed problem...



All other transactions are more than acceptable once you're logged on,
but to get to this point takes roughly 15-20 secs. Is this normal, or
can something be done about it.
