(Sorry, but my connection to personal oracle is unavailable at this moment. I'll reply with more detailed information in the following few days.)

As I recall, the instance is specified as ':2' with no specification for TCPIP or machine name as when linking to Oracle on Unix 'T:100.12.12.32:2'. The information is supplied in the Personal Oracle Help File which is lodged deep in the directory structure and not immediately available through Program/Personal Oracle.

The default setting of the Oracle Database name was set with 'PO7' w/password 'PO7'.
