 According to *Oracle RAC Interconnect Protocols – Support and Roadmap (Doc ID 2434852.1)* – RoCE support is planned for Engineered Systems only – not commodity hardware…

Also – from *Oracle Clusterware and RAC Support for RDS Over Infiniband (Doc ID 751343.1) – *for 12.2 and higher versions RDS support is only available on Engineered Systems...
