RE: Need help configuring ASM on Linux 7

Thanks Norman! For looking into this issue on a Sunday!

I have reviewed all these MOS Doc IDs, you mentioned below. They don't say much about oralceasm/kmod module version for Linux kernel 3.10.0-514 .

I tried updating the existing drivers, but failed:-

[root_at_dl-bel01 Packages]# /usr/sbin/oracleasm update-driver

Kernel: 3.10.0-514.el7.x86_64 x86_64

Driver name: oracleasm-3.10.0-514.el7.x86_64

Driver for kernel 3.10.0-514.el7.x86_64 does not exist

[root_at_dl-bel01 Packages]# uname -r

3.10.0-514.el7.x86_64

Is there any doc/link/blog where asmlib is configured on OEL/RHEL 7 and later.

Doc ID 2097202.1 says that you need to be sure that the module version matches that of your kernel.

The offered solutions are:

One approach is to boot with a kernel that matches the ASMLIB components

or you can update the ASMLIB components.
