True. After running in parallel for about a month I didn't have any repository history that I still had interest in. Recreating the customizations was pretty easy and it gave me a chance re-evaluate everything and clean things up.

That could work if you don't mind losing your historical repository data, setup, and customizations (e.g. metric collections and extensions). For me, that's fairly significant, at least more significant than the difficulty of the migration.
