Hi Brian,

Yes -s is silent. It is used for scripting with sql*plus. HTH.

Cheers,

I am entering:
sqlplus -s "/as sysdba"
it just sits there.

But when I enter:
sqlplus "/as sysdba"

I get the cursor >.

What does the -s actually do?

ciao,
Brian
