IIRC, the rumours were MOS came with an acquisition. In Mark Sundays keynote at UKOUG conference, it was indicated that when new acquisitions were made, the existing back end systems were all replaced and any proprietary systems junked.

It's pure speculation, but this might be a lesson learnt on the back of the disastrous MOS implementation!
