I don't think you can register pre 11.2 databases with grid infrastructure.

Hi,

I am getting following PRCD-124 error while registering a 11.1.0.7 database with 11.2.0.3 Grid Infrastructure for auto restart. Has anyone seen it? Is it possible to register pre 11gr2 database?

[ora10r2_at_hdoradb06 logs]$ env|grep ORA

ORACLE_BASE=/usr3/apl/oracle
ORACLE_HOME=/usr3/apl/oracle/product/11.2.0.3/grid
ORACLE_SID=+ASM

ORA_NLS10=/usr3/apl/oracle/product/11.2.0.3/grid/nls/data

[ora10r2_at_hdoradb06 logs]$ which srvctl
/usr3/apl/oracle/product/11.2.0.3/grid/bin/srvctl

[ora10r2_at_hdoradb06 logs]$ srvctl add database -d t3mp -o
/usr3/apl/oracle/product/11.1.0/db -a DISKGROUP1 PRCD-1245 : Addition of database version 11.2.0.3.0 is not allowed using srvctl version 11.0.0.0.0

It seems the versions are reported incorrectly in the error message, as I am adding a 11.1.0.7 database using 11.2.0.3 version srvctl.
