Re: Check Point Process

DBA decides whether or not to run ckpt process. If DBA want ckpt process to be runing he/she needs to set CHECKPOINT_PROCESS to TRUE init.ora file. Incase you are running instance with this parameter on then there is a point in checking for that ckpt process.
