oracle streams

Hi people's,

Question, At the moment we have a new project going and in this scope other dba's wanted to use oracle streams for some exchange of data between databases.

I have the task to administer the lot when it's done, What i would like to know as i never worked with streams is.

1. Is it very reliable.
2. what are know problems
3. Why shouldn't we use it / Why is it so good.
4. What if any activities need to be done on a daily/weekly/monthly bases

Hope someone can help me with this stuff, as the internet is not giving much in these fields. ( maybe because it works really goods :) )
