Interesting article. What is very frustrating is that Oracle has been
toying around with it's savior on this subject, but refuses to "bite the
bullet" and do it. I'm talking about site licensing. The author is
quite right, Oracle and Microsoft to boot, are still stuck in that idea
that a server is a physical piece of hardware that you can reach out and
physically touch. When with the current virtualization technologies &
blades that concept is no longer true. A server is what it's defined as
right now. And that could change in the next second.
