my 3 cents...
we made some time ago a test trying to use java instead of PL/SQL in some places...

AFAIK it is not mature enough to replace PL/SQL. For example performance - it seems that every session runs its own VM - in comparison to PL/SQL a nightmare
btw. anybody uses java in Oracle for production for big scale?
