Important to ask: Will Oracle support it? I can't remember off the top of my head if they do or not so you might want to open an SR and ask. Of course you don't have to tell them about the cloned home so maybe it won't be an issue.

I've never tried cloning like that yet - considered it, but didn't do it yet since I didn't have that many installs to do and figured I'd be safer to just run OUI and do a fresh install. Curious what others who have done the same type of cloning have to say . . .
