There is one thing you can do: ask your technical team leader what exactly does he or she want to accomplish by doing that? From a point of view of EMC salesperson, this is very useful excercise indeed, because he can sell you faster hardware just in time to get a Christmas bonus. I somehow doubt that motives for such a drastic action include sheer kindness that the project involves helping the poor EMC sales force rebuild their swimming pools.
