Hey all,

Back in '02, I had a Hint-O-The-Day to search for Metalink "library index" pages. These are the pages that are jumping points to get you to what you need for various parts of Oracle like RMAN, Installation & Configuration, Heterogeneous Services or 136 other distinct topics. With the new Metalink search, you can now save this starting point for future references:

  1. In MetaLink, click on the "MetaLink Search" button near the top of the page.
  2. Enter 'knowledge base' (WITH the single quotes!) in "using all of the words".
  3. Enter 'library index' (with or without the quotes) in "and with the exact phrase".
  4. Uncheck "Technical Forum" in the Sources to the right.
  5. Set "Maximum Number of Hits" to 200.
  6. Submit.

You should get about 139 hits, all with "library index" in the title. Save the search for future reference, IF YOU CAN in your browser. Hogswallop car-thieving sos-n-sos refuse to write standard HTML (http://www.w3.org). They're getting there, but it's a loooong road ahead.

Enjoy!
Rich
