Mladen's advice actually covers that. No matter what's causing the slow performance, if something's taking time, then it will show up in the 10046 trace data. "That's why we love her so."

Worth pointing out that a number of things could be slowing your application
... OS, RAM, processor, network connections, time of day and end user perception to name a few. Before diving into the code (so to speak) you did
verify that none of the other factors are at work, I'm sure ...
