it does help, thanks! I knew I could count on this list.
I had been reading on "create directory" in the docs adnd not
"utl_file" and therein lay my problem. The create directory information
doesn't talk at all about utl_file and seems to imply that you need to
switch to BFILEs.
so all they did was create yet another way to remove a static
initialization parameter. this I can deal with :)
