Hi,

We are considering upgrading several databases (7.3.3, 7.3.4, 8.0.5.2 and 8.1.7.3) in the near future, to either 8.1.7.4 or 9.2.0.1. The justification for this is to reduce the costs associated with managing so many different versions. The databases are running on HP-UX and Tru-64. Currently everything we have read indicates that we should choose 9.2, taking into account length of support and stability.

If you have had any bad experiences upgrading to either 8.1.7.4, or 9.2.0.1 which might influence our decision, please can you send a short summary of the problem.

thankyou,
