Nothing whatsoever, I may be wrong but some of my code still produces Child Benefit(or whatever it is called now) payments in the UK, National Insurance Recording and Girocheque Reconciliation.

Jeez, that seems light years away now. (1990)

Whats wrong with COBOL. I programmed with it in the early 70's and last I heard the "root" module I write is still in use today(payroll for a Fortune 100 company). Later in life I programmed in INFORMIX 4GL on a DataPoint server. It was replaced with an IBM 360 and they never got the application to run as fast as the original.

I am up there amongst the more "seasoned" members of this list.

I even (sh, don't tell anyone) programmed in COBOL.
