VNC is a useful, free, yet insecure option.

Another would be Dameware (www.dameware.com). I use Dameware in the office and in my home. The price is reasonable, it is considerably more secure, and will install the remote agent on the server as a service, provided you give it the right login information. A very nice tool for Windows remote display.

If you are using a Win2000 server as the host, a simpler measure would be to use MS Terminal Services.
