Ethan,

This is not an Oracle bug, but an AIX bug. The Oracle patch for this bug was merely a workaround until IBM released an APAR with the fix.

You need the fix for IBM's lio_listio() problem (APAR IY15138). The fix is part of collective fix PTF U473812 (there may be a newer APAR out there that includes this).
