Mark - There was a really good article on configurations in the JAN/FEB issue of Oracle magazine. I have it at home so if you can't get a copy mail me and I'll fax it. I may be avail at the Oracle WWW site? Also here at the EPA a frequent contibutor to this List, Dave Scott, put together a paper on Op guidelines that dealt with some of the issues you raised. Maybe if it's for public release, Dave, Whom I'm sure will see this could mail you a copy. Hope this helps..
